Marks and Spencer’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024
Since this is a MEGA guide to Marks and Spencer’s Christmas gluten-free products in 2024 I thought I’d split this post up into four sections as you’ll see below (as well as a link to last year’s full range too).
Using the contents list below, you can jump to particular sections if you’re looking for something specific, or feel free to just scroll down to see everything:
Marks and Spencer’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024: Cafe
Yes, that’s right, this post has a special section that no other supermarkets have in their respective posts… a cafe section! And I’ve put this into my Marks and Spencer’s gluten-free products 2024 post purely to showcase this one item: a gluten-free turkey and ham hock toastie! 🤯
This is a brand new product for M&S cafes during the festive season so keep an eye out for it in cafes near you!
Oh and don’t forget the gluten-free Christmas sandwich along with all the regular sandwiches down the chilled ‘food-to-go’ aisle. This photo is mine from last year, but I’ve already seen lots of photos in my Facebook group from you guys that have found it already!
Marks and Spencer’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024: Free From Aisle
Ok, back to our usual scheduled programming: Marks and Spencer’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024! So let’s start with the M&S free from aisle and their ‘Made Without’ range. Bear in mind that this post will focus mainly on Christmas free from products – there are of course many, many other products in the free from section in M&S too!
While you won’t find an enormous range of different brands in the M&S free from aisle like you will in other supermarkets, since it’s all dedicated M&S brand products, that means you’ll find stuff here that you won’t be able to get anywhere else.
Make sure you scour the seasonal aisle of M&S too where you might some of these products if they aren’t in the free from aisle. You’ll easily be able to spot the recognisable ‘Made Without’ branding!
Marks and Spencer’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024: Seasonal Confectionery Aisle + Advent Calendars
If you venture outside of the free from aisle (namely to the seasonal aisle) you’ll find tons more products that are ‘accidentally’ gluten-free, including things like advent calendars, gifts and small sweet treats.
Of course, if these ingredients have no ‘may contain’ warning and no gluten containing ingredients, they’re considered to be gluten-free and safe to eat. And yes, I’ve personally checked the ingredients lists of all these products myself, in person, on the packaging! So here’s everything I found…
Unlike chocolate you’ll find in free from aisles, the chocolate down these aisles tend not to be dairy-free: which is great if you’re not dairy-free, obviously! If you are dairy-free however, I implore you to check Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s which has a a lot of different choices of gluten-free and dairy-free festive chocolate, thanks to their own brand products and brands like MooFree and NOMO. But do look out for the M&S Plant Kitchen products below first too…
Marks and Spencer’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024: Snacks, Party Food & Christmas Lunch
Unlike other supermarkets, M&S has a few solid gluten-free party options out on shelves already! Of course, beware of use by dates as these are fresh products (not frozen) or if you’re super organised, you can always buy them and freeze them for Christmas in case they sell out.
However, as is usually the case with party food, you’ll have to check back on this post later as I’m sure this won’t be everything – the closer to Christmas to get, the more I’ll likely find! I just added quite a few ‘Made Without’ products to this section at the top – they’re not necessarily specifically festive, but they’d all make sense in any gluten-free party food spread!
You’ll have to head over to the crisps section for all the crisps (shock!) and the chillers for the party food and festive trimmings. The ‘Made Without’ products were in a dedicated free from chiller in my local M&S. Without a doubt, M&S looks to be winning on the party food front so far!
Marks and Spencer’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024: Desserts
Like party food, festive desserts don’t often show up too early. But of course, as soon as they do begin to pop up in my M&S, I will be sure to find them and post them here! When I first posted this, there was only the panna cottas and ganache desserts, but I’ve since found a bunch of meringue-based desserts now too.
As I often say in these posts, please don’t automatically assume that any meringue-based dessert is gluten-free! I’ve highlighted these ones specifically below as M&S seems to be really good in the sense that lots of them didn’t have ‘may contain’ warnings for gluten. However, in other supermarkets this year, some of their meringue-based desserts now feature ‘may contain’ warnings on products that didn’t last year. So please always check and never assume when looking at these kinds of desserts in supermarkets!
Though what I’ve found below so far isn’t a great wealth of dessert options (and M&S used to be much better for dedicated gluten-free and ‘accidentally’ gluten-free desserts) it’s nice to know that there’s a supermarket that has a decent choice in all the sections of this post so far.
Last Year’s Products
And last but not least, here’s all the products that were in M&S LAST YEAR in 2023.
They may be back this year… they may not! So either way, I thought I’d leave the link to last year’s post above just in case they do make a return.
Don’t forget to check out these Christmas supermarket posts too…
Thanks for joining me in checking out M&S’ gluten-free Christmas products for 2024! What did you think? Is it too early for Christmas products?! Which one was your favourite? What are we still missing?
