Welcome to My IBS Diary Week 8! This week has been a busy week for me. Lots to think about & lots of potential change! Make sure you subscribe to me (for free!) to be notified of more IBS & Gluten Free Videos every week!
So week 8 and we’re back up in Manchester, but for how long?! The past week has been rather hectic for me. Hectic in the best way possible. We have been thinking about moving down south again for a little while now, (I know we have only been living in Manchester for a year) & whilst looking for a place to live has been a rather stressful affair with plenty of ups & downs…. some great opportunities have poked their way through!
Basically, I’m going to be moving back down south! I’ve love my time in Manchester over the past year, being the place I first went to university back in 2009, it is a place full of amazing memories for Mark & I. I can tell you right now, we will be regular visitors to the north, I definitely have an eternal soft spot for the north of England, particularly Manchester.
All this rapid change is something I know can greatly affect my IBS. I am sure anyone who has IBS will understand, change & positive/negative stress really does give the stomach a lot of grief. Fortunately, my life thus far has had plenty of ups & downs that have made me more prepared for these effects. I expect them. They don’t come as a surprise very often anymore. Because I expect them, I can try to reduce them too. I make sure I don’t sit around thinking about things too much, I take my mind off things. I don’t go near any foods that have the potential to even slightly irritate my stomach. I basically make sure I give myself enough time to relax and chill out.
Always remember chill out time will make you more productive in the long run!
I will admit my IBS, especially in the evenings has been giving me some grief this week. But equally I seem to be getting over the effects of it a lot quicker. Maybe the southern air will help when I move… who knows! Oh & of course my Symprove will be making the move down south with me, I wouldn’t go anywhere without it!
Please feel free to let me know how your IBS is treating you this week. Do you find that stress affects your IBS? If you have any questions or just want a good old chat you can leave a comment below, or on Facebook/Twitter.
