Well, after only a few days of having my mind blown by Lactose Free Mars Milk, my world was once again rocked by Lactofree‘s latest venture: Lactofree Chocolate Milk!
Having still not recovered since Lactofree stopped producing Vanilla Ice-Cream (WHY??), I’m happy to report that our favourite lactose-free brand is back to expanding their range with Lactofree Chocolate Milk. Whilst, I’m still trying not to get my hopes up as I continue to long for the world’s first lactose-free white milk chocolate bar, this is a welcome addition to my larder.
It’s not a thick milkshake-like drink, but more the type of milk you could endlessly slurp through a straw – and boy is it chocolatey! I’d love to experiment with this milk in our Nutribullet; how about some added dairy-free ice-cream, fresh banana and whipped cream on top? There’s so many delicious possibilities! Plus, it’s made from skimmed milk, so you won’t feel ashamed for drinking the entire 1 litre carton (well, that’s what I told myself anyway).
Granted, there’s been brands like Alpro producing chocolate ‘milk’ drinks since the dawn of time, but as a non-vegan, you just can’t quite beat the real deal. It brings back all those memories of mixing up Nestle’s Nesquik powder and using up your entire family’s weekly milk supply in half an hour. No regrets.
It’s another pleasing discovery in our local Tescos which seems to be expanding its range by the day – keep your eyes peeled when you’re out doing your weekly shop! If you do happen to find any Lactofree Chocolate Milk, be sure to let us know what you thought of it on Facebook and Twitter. How about leaving a comment below if you’re feeling fancy?
Sadly, I’ve finished this post now and I didn’t even manage to fit in my pun about calcium and cow-cium. Or wait, does that still count? Apologies, I must be in a bit of a funny mooooo-d.
Cheers,
