Yes, I actually went to all these places and took pictures of everything myself so you can be sure they do actually exist – it took a while! 😂

The ULTIMATE Dairy-free Easter Eggs Guide 2026
Since this is a HUGE dairy-free Easter eggs guide, I thought I’d split this post up by supermarket. Of course the same eggs are stocked in multiple supermarkets (NOMO, MooFree etc) so don’t be surprised if you see the same ones pop up in one or more supermarkets.
Generally, most of these eggs are found in the free from aisle of supermarkets, but you will often find some tucked away in seasonal aisles too.

Tesco’s Dairy-free Easter Eggs 2026
First stop in my dairy-free Easter Eggs guide is *drumroll* Tesco! And it seems that by choosing Tesco I’ve put one of the best supermarkets for gluten-free AND dairy-free Easter eggs first! It’s very close, but Tesco just lands itself in 2nd place out of every supermarket.
And that’s namely thanks to their stocking of MooFree, Ombar, NOMO and more, as well as having a bunch of their own brand free from eggs too. Don’t expect any other supermarket (apart from Sainsbury’s and Asda) to offer quite as much as this!

Our Easter egg hunt continues over at Asda! As I said, there’s currently the same amount of gluten-free AND dairy-free Easter products here as in Sainsbury’s, making them joint 1st.
Apart from their great selection of free from eggs, their OMV! (vegan) range also notably includes a couple of gluten-free eggs too.

While M&S has tons of awesome, unique eggs that are ‘accidentally’ gluten-free over in the main post, none of them are dairy-free sadly.
That leaves us just with M&S’ free from Easter selection which is rather tiny, though the caramel mini eggs are still well worth hunting down!

Waitrose’s Dairy-free Easter Eggs 2026
In Waitrose, you’ll find the NOMO range carrying almost the entire gluten-free AND dairy-free Easter egg selection – which I’m not super mad about!

Aldi’s Dairy-free Easter Eggs 2026
You might be thinking already: “surely there’s no gluten-free AND dairy-free Easter eggs in Aldi…” and you’d sadly be right 😂 But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing at all!
I did find quite a few Easter sweets that are dairy-free, so I thought I’d include them here anyway. Aldi used to have some awesome free from eggs in previous years that I used to get for Mark, but sadly I haven’t spotted them in 2026 yet. See the 2022 post at the bottom of this one to see which products I mean!

Sadly, there’s not even any Easter sweet treats for dairy-free folk let alone gluten-free AND dairy-free Easter eggs over in Lidl! So not surprisingly, it’s absolutely better to head elsewhere.
Morrison’s Dairy-free Easter Eggs 2026
There’s a decent selection over at Morrisons too and while I also found 23 products like I did in Tesco, more of these were gummies and sweets than actual Easter eggs, meaning Morrison’s missed out on 2nd place.
However, choice here is still great for gluten-free AND dairy-free Easter products so definitely deserves a solid mention!

Ocados Dairy-free Easter Eggs 2026
I didn’t really count Ocado in my ranking as it’s a purely online supermarket (so I can expect them to have a bigger range) which you can’t conveniently visit in person… so it felt wrong to compare them to other supermarkets that are obviously limited by physical space to display them in store.
But if we’re talking about online shopping alone, Ocado actually are in 1st place in terms of sheer choice for gluten-free AND dairy-free Easter eggs!
Of course, Ocado is an online supermarket exclusively so you’ll need to meet their minimum spend of £40.

You might not lose sleep over whether Co-op has any gluten-free AND dairy-free Easter eggs… but now that you’re here you should probably know that they do have one! And it’s not a plain chocolate one either!
But other than that, you’re just looking at a bag of Easter themed Haribo, so maybe head to the other supermarkets unless this egg is the one that you want (🎶).

Dairy-free Easter Eggs 2026: Frequently Asked Questions
Are all the eggs in this guide both gluten-free and dairy-free?
Yes! Every egg in this particular guide is both gluten-free and dairy-free at the time I found and photographed it. That means:
- No gluten-containing ingredients
- No ‘may contain’ for gluten/wheat/barley/rye etc.
- No milk or milk-derived ingredients (like milk powder, whey, butterfat, lactose etc.)
Please remember: ingredients and ‘may contain’ statements can change at any time, so please always double-check the current packaging before you buy or eat anything.
What’s the difference between “dairy-free”, “milk-free” and “lactose-free” Easter eggs?
- Dairy-free / milk-free – contains no ingredients from milk or ‘may contain’ warnings for it at all. This is what I focus on in this guide.
- Lactose-free – usually still contains milk, but with the lactose removed or reduced. These are not suitable if you have a milk allergy or need a truly dairy-free egg.
For the purposes of this post, I’m only including eggs that are fully dairy-free, not just lactose-free.
Are all vegan Easter eggs automatically dairy-free and gluten-free?
Vegan eggs should be dairy-free by definition, as they can’t contain milk or other animal-derived ingredients. However:
- Some vegan Easter eggs still have a ‘may contain milk’ warning – that’s a red flag if you have a milk allergy.
- Vegan Easter eggs are not automatically gluten-free – they might contain biscuit pieces, wafer, barley malt, or have a ‘may contain gluten/wheat’ warning.
In this guide, I’ve only included vegan products that are both gluten-free and dairy-free according to the label.
How do I quickly check if an Easter egg is both gluten-free and dairy-free?
My usual label-check routine is:
- Look at the allergen bold text – avoid anything listing milk, lactose, whey, casein, wheat, barley, rye or gluten etc.
- Check for ‘may contain’ warnings – I avoid eggs with ‘may contain’ for gluten/wheat/barley/rye etc. and for milk if you’re strictly dairy-free.
- Scan the ingredients for hidden dairy (e.g. milk powder, whey, butterfat, milk solids, cream) and hidden gluten (e.g. barley malt extract, wheat flour, wheat starch).
- If it’s in the free from Easter range and clearly labelled gluten-free and dairy-free, that’s usually the safest bet.
Are dark chocolate Easter eggs always dairy-free?
No – unfortunately not. Dark chocolate often happens to be dairy-free, but:
- Some dark chocolate includes butterfat or milk solids to make it creamier.
- Some brands label dark chocolate with a ‘may contain milk’ warning.
That’s why not every dark chocolate egg made it into this guide – only the ones that were both gluten-free and dairy-free according to the packaging.
Why are gluten-free and dairy-free Easter eggs often more expensive?
A few reasons:
- They’re usually made in more controlled environments to prevent cross-contamination.
- Ingredients like high-quality dark chocolate, oat/plant-based alternatives and specialist “free from” ingredients can be pricier.
- Volumes are smaller than standard eggs, so they don’t benefit from the same economies of scale.
To save money, I try to highlight products in this guide that are sold at mainstream supermarket prices wherever possible, not just the super high-end options.
Can I still use these dairy-free Easter eggs for an egg hunt?
Yes – quite a few of the products in this guide include mini eggs, bunnies, bars, and small hunt-sized pieces that are both gluten-free and dairy-free. They’re perfect for egg hunts if you need everything to be safe for someone who is both Coeliac and dairy-free.
Again, always double-check the exact pack size and variant you’re buying matches the one in the guide.
Are all of these dairy-free Easter eggs also nut-free or soya-free?
No – this guide is focused specifically on gluten-free and dairy-free. Many of the products here do contain or may contain soya, nuts, or other allergens.
If you also need to avoid nuts, soya, egg or anything else, you’ll need to check each product’s full allergen list and “may contain” warnings on the packaging before buying.
What’s the safest kind of egg to buy if I’m shopping for someone who’s both gluten-free and dairy-free?
If you’re not sure exactly what they can eat, the safest bet is usually:
- A clearly labelled “Free From” Easter egg that says gluten-free and dairy-free
- From a major supermarket’s Free From range or one of the established “free from” brands (like Moo Free, NOMO, etc.)
If you’re really unsure, a quick message or photo of the label to the person you’re buying for is always appreciated – most gluten-free and dairy-free folks are very used to checking labels and won’t mind you asking.
