Rule of Crumb are a gluten free brand that pledge full flavoured gluten freedom for all. They keep to this pledge by creating gluten free masterpieces… today I tried a Gluten Free Chicken Kiev!
We are nearly a whole month into 2015 which seems crazy… time flies! This year I wanted to find out about even more great gluten free brands; and I think I have started the year pretty well! I came across the brand ‘Rule of Crumb’ on Twitter not that long ago. I loved the name and I love even more what they stand for as a brand. The packaging looked fresh, the photography on the site looked professional and they even have a gluten free pledge! They pledge:
“Henceforth, under Rule of Crumb there’s no knead to be on your guard when it comes to Gluten Free products. We live by the simple rule that our glorious food should be as fit for a king as it is for coeliacs… So it’s good knight gluten and good morning to full flavoured gluten freedom for all.”
Sounds an amazing brand hey?! But of course with gluten free food its all in the taste and so I was intrigued to go beyond the packaging and pledge and try the gluten free food for myself.
Rule of Crumb have a delicious range of tasty sounding products. From Gluten Free Chicken Kievs to Gluten Free Breaded Fish they produce a wide range of different products that we all love.
Currently across England, Scotland and Wales Rule of Crumb is not the easiest of brands to come across but I really hope that will change in the coming weeks and months. I think we all deserve to get the opportunity to try out a new gluten free brand – especially one that claims that their food is as fit for a coeliac as it is a king!
I was incredibly fortunate to get the opportunity to try out some of the new Rule of Crumb range this week and I thought I would let you know my thoughts!
One of my favourite meals when I was younger involved chicken kiev! I love the oozing garlic butter erupting from the inside of the chicken breast and the crispy coating that surrounds it. Since becoming gluten intolerant I have been unable to have this… until today.
Rule of Crumb Gluten Free Chicken Kiev come in a pack of two and each one is impressively large in size! They cook simply in the oven from frozen in 35 minutes at 185 degrees. Whilst the chicken was cooking I was able to prepare the rest of my meal. I made a portion of creamy mash potato and boiled up some fresh veg. This was shaping up to be a perfect dinner for after a long day at work!
I could tell the chicken kiev was done because the room started to smell amazing. I got it out and it was sizzling away. I was so excited to give it a try!
The gluten free chicken kiev was even better than I could have imagined. I tasted better than any I had ever tried. The chicken was really soft and anything but dry. The crumb coating on the kiev was really crispy and well seasoned and the garlic butter was off the chain. It was plentiful and flavoursome. I am so glad I have another gluten free chicken kiev waiting for me in the freezer… I don’t think it will last long though!
Where can you buy them from?
I really couldn’t fault the gluten free chicken kiev in anyway it made a delicious meal and I would highly recommend giving one a try.
