Aldi’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024 – the ultimate guide for the festive season from the budget supermarket that we wish stocked more gluten-free products! Everything in this post is all on shelves right now, Coeliac-friendly and wheat-free.
Aldi’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024 – let’s just start by saying the same as I did in 2023’s post… don’t get your hopes up! I’ll keep heading back to Aldi across December, so keep checking back for more updates in case I find anything new. I’ll be doing posts like this for all the supermarkets this Christmas as I do every year, so look out for those too.
Update log 🗓
- Any new products I find will be added to the post and if/when that happens, I’ll highlight what’s been added in this bit here here:

Aldi’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024
Since this is a MEGA guide to Aldi’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024 I thought I’d split this post up into four sections as you’ll see below.
Using the contents list below, you can jump to particular sections if you’re looking for something specific, or feel free to just scroll down to see everything:

Aldi’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024: Free From Aisle
You might remember in the past that Aldi UK used to stock their own brand gluten-free mince pies and a gluten-free Christmas pudding during the festive season and whilst that was usually about it, at least it was something – see the photo below:
But in 2023 and now in 2024, if you went looking for these or any of other Aldi UK’s dedicated gluten-free Christmas products (or a free from aisle), you’ll be sure to find…
That’s right, there’s not even gluten-free mince pies or Christmas pudding this year and they don’t even have any all-year-round free from products to fall back on.
Don’t worry though, this post isn’t entirely empty! Keep scrolling down below this non-existent free from section for all the rest of the ‘accidentally’ gluten-free Christmas products I did manage to find in Aldi this year. But first, here’s an important annual reminder…
Having been gluten-free for 15 years, I can safely say that things won’t change for the better unless we constantly remind everyone that we exist and that we will happily give businesses our money if they provide for us at respectable prices. After all, without letting businesses (like supermarkets, fast food chains, cafes, restaurants or even TV shows) know that we exist, the status quo of having little to no gluten-free options/representation will just continue.
So this rant is my little dedication to politely reminding Aldi that we exist because, if you’re reading this Aldi, every supermarket I’ve covered so far across these posts has a dedicated free from section with gluten-free products apart from you! And guess what? If you reliably stocked more gluten-free essentials all year round, all of us would then be able to shop there more often! Aldi’s gluten-free landing page even mentions/depicts several products they no longer stock – such as gluten-free plain flour, cereal bars and all butter cookies. I pointed this out in 2023 and it still hasn’t changed!!
And guess what will probably just annoy you even more if you live in the UK? Aldi Ireland stock tons of gluten-free products, including mince pies and even gluten-free bread, cake, biscuits pasta and oats – you can see for yourself by tapping here. It’s the same in the US, where Aldi stock all the essentials we need all-year-round too.
So this empty section of this post is a reminder to you, the reader, to message Aldi politely asking for a dedicated free from section with essential free from products (like bread and cereal!) to be stocked there all year round at reasonable prices at the very least. And whilst you might feel like one message won’t make a difference, if we’re all persistently doing it, we’re much harder to ignore.
Here’s how you can get in touch with them:
- Aldi UK Facebook (probably best to just comment on recent posts as I can’t see how to private message them on there)
- Aldi UK Twitter
- Aldi UK Instagram
- Aldi UK Threads
- Aldi UK Website
Anyway, onwards with what I did find in Aldi that was gluten-free….
Aldi’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024: Snacks, Party Food + Christmas lunch
Though Aldi certainly isn’t the destination of our dreams when it comes to festive gluten-free products or a free from aisle, there’s actually a decent amount of savoury products to look out for while you’re in there.
In fact, it might be time to raid Aldi’s selection of festive crisps because there’s a lot of choice of ‘accidentally’ gluten-free bags of crisps on offer. Just ensure you check the ingredients list for any gluten-containing ingredients or ‘may contain’ warnings as, in the past, Aldi has had a habit of varying ingredients on their crisps depending on where you live in the UK.
This selection is essentially the same as last year, though I haven’t managed to find the pigs in blankets yet. But note the nut roasts too – something which is quite notorious for not being gluten-free in most cases!
Aldi’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024: Seasonal Confectionery Aisle
Like most supermarkets, you’ll find some decent options in Aldi when it comes to small festive sweet treats or boxes of chocolates for sharing or gifting. The story this year compared to last year is this: way more advent calendars and way less truffles!
Yep, unlike last year, Aldi have far more advent calendar options that are safe for gluten-free folks – but sadly, no good news here for dairy-free folks, as was the case last year.
I’m hoping there will still be more confectionary options popping up soon in Aldi, because though they have more advent calendars than last year, they now have less own-brand bars and boxes of chocolates that are suitable for us!
Aldi’s gluten-free Christmas products 2024: Desserts
Aldi’s saving grace here has usually been that they usually stock a few suitable gluten-free desserts in their freezer section that are ‘accidentally’ gluten-free. However, sadly this is all I’ve been able to find this year so far!
And sadly, three of the roulades that were safe last year now have ‘may contain’ warnings for gluten, apart from the one shown below.
I haven’t seen last year’s double chocolate igloo return yet either, but keep checking back on this post for future updates. If I find it, I’ll include it here!
Last Year’s Products
And last but not least, here’s all the products that were in Aldi LAST YEAR in 2023.
They may be back this year… they may not! So either way, I thought I’d leave the link to last year’s post above just in case they do make a return.
Don’t forget to check out these Christmas supermarket posts too…
