I came across Cofresh Eat Real Lentil Chips the other day in search of a gluten, dairy-free and vegan snack.
When I think of snacking, I either opt for exceptionally greasy snacks or exceptionally sugary snacks, neither of which particularly agree with my IBS-laden stomach. Searching for a better compromise, I came across Cofresh‘s Eat Real Lentil Chips which to my surprise, certainly don’t compromise on taste.
I’d never tried a Lentil-based crisp until now, though I am a massive fan of alternative types of crisps in general such as vegetable or casava crisps. Sadly they can often be quite high in fat which never seems to sit well with me. On the other hand, most healthier alternatives such as baked crisps or air-popped crisps always seem to lack in the flavour department, or they can rather disappointingly end up tasting like powdered air.
Fortunately for me, Cofresh’s Eat Real Lentil Chips didn’t leave behind a wake of digestive destruction like so many other types of crisps have done – only a satisfying aftertaste that makes having a large bag of them extremely dangerous! The Tomato & Basil flavour were sublime, with me and Becky immediately likening them to a tomato pasta bake, or even a pizza-like flavour. The crisps are light and airy and the flavour is intense. Some of the other flavours in the Eat Real Lentil Chips range include Chilli and Lemon, Sea salt & Creamy Dill which are also amazing.
So if you’re looking for a delicious gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan option to snack on, look no further than Eat Real Lentil Chips. Ditch the greasy crisps and the sugary cake for a surprisingly light flavour kick! I’ll be looking forward to trying their other flavours in the future 🙂
Cheers,
