Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025
Since this is a guide that shows specific dessert products across a range of different supermarkets, that’s exactly how I’ve decided to divide them up.
Using the contents list below, you can jump to particular supermarkets if you’re looking for somewhere specific, or feel free to just scroll down to see everything:
Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025: Tesco
Starting with Tesco, which is a great gauge of how high your expectations should be at most supermarkets, you’ve got a decent choice for gluten-free Christmas desserts, though nothing new to get too excited about.
In fact we’re actually missing some of the important things that made last year half decent: no meringue-based desserts here AT ALL this year, no Kirsty’s gluten-free apple pie… that leaves most of the decent options being free from aisle products, namely these below:
- Tesco Free From Christmas Pudding
- Tesco Finest Free From Christmas Pudding with Cognac
- Tesco Finest Free From Honeycomb Bauble
- Tesco Finest Free From 4 Sticky Toffee Tarts
- Tesco Finest Free From Chocolate Yule Log
- Tesco Free From Profiteroles with Chocolate Sauce
- Tesco Free From 4 Chocolate Éclairs
- Tesco Free From Syrup Sponge Pudding
- Tesco Free From Chocolate Sponge Pudding
- Tesco 4 Penguin Ice Cream Lollies

Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025: Asda
Sadly there’s even less over in Asda than Tesco! And sadly, with the loss of ALL meringue-based desserts here in Asda too (a common theme of this post that began last year), what’s left isn’t much to get excited about.
Here’s what to look at for regardless:
- ASDA Free From Christmas Pudding (serves 4)
- ASDA Exceptional 6-Month Matured Free From Luxury Christmas Pudding
- ASDA Free From Syrup Sponge Pudding
- ASDA Free From Sticky Toffee Sponge Pudding
- Daim Almond Cake (with Chocolate & Crunchy Caramel) – Almondy
- Gü Plant Zillionaire Cheesecakes
- The Coconut Collab Choc Pots
- Viennetta Mini Mint
- Viennetta Vanilla
- Viennetta Pistachio Vanilla
If you’ve found any desserts that I haven’t yet, be sure to take a photo of the product and let me know on social media. Thank you! For the time being, here’s everything I could find for now…

Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025: Sainsbury’s
Spoiler alert: in 2025, things don’t get much better when it comes to gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts than Sainsbury’s. So get your best ‘I’m happy with this’ face on because honestly, this is the most choice we’re going to get from any one supermarket this year!
In case you haven’t read the rest of this post above yet, please remember this: though the two roulades I’ve posted below are gluten-free, they also had similar variations in similar branded packaging that aren’t safe for Coeliacs; the roulades not featured here all had ‘may contain’ warning for gluten, making them not gluten-free. Also, many supermarkets now don’t stock ANY roulades that are safe to eat. So please don’t assume that all meringue-based desserts you come across are safe!
Here’s what I’ve found so far (just naming a few of them as there’s actually quite a lot!):
- Taste the Difference Free From Salted Caramel Chocolate Bauble Tiffin
- Taste the Difference Free From Christmas Pudding (gluten & milk free, 1-serve)
- Sainsbury’s Free From Christmas Pudding (gluten & milk free)
- Taste the Difference Berry Meringue Roulade
- Taste the Difference Toffee & Pecan Meringue Roulade
- Taste the Difference Free From 2 Salted Caramel Chocolate Tarts
- Taste the Difference Free From Chocolate Yule Log
- Sainsbury’s Free From Festive Eric the Caterpillar Cake
- Taste the Difference Free From 4 Apple Crumble Tarts
- Taste the Difference Free From 2 Lemon Tarts

Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025: Marks and Spencer
Though it’s not quite as much variety as Sainsbury’s, what they do have at M&S is genuinely exciting. Unlike other supermarkets, M&S has mostly remained with the same products from last year, which isn’t a bad thing judging by other supermarkets in this post.
These are the types of products I hope to find and highlight in these posts as, in a sea of free from products and Viennettas that exist all year round anyway, these products actually bring some level of excitement – they more give ‘proper’ dessert vibes as far as I’m concerned! Best of all, they’re ‘accidentally’ gluten-free, so we pay the same price as everyone else.
- M&S Lemon & Raspberry Drizzle Pudding
- M&S Collection Vanilla & Raspberry Panna Cotta
- M&S Clementine & Cranberry Frangipane
- M&S Made Without Wheat Sticky Toffee Pudding (gluten free)
- M&S 4 Raspberry & Mascarpone Meringue Roulades
- M&S 4 Toffee & Pecan Meringue Roulades
- M&S Toffee & Pecan Meringue Roulade
- M&S Raspberry & Mascarpone Meringue Roulade
- M&S Collection Very Berry Pavlova (with Belgian white chocolate)
- M&S Collection Made Without Wheat Gluten Free Chocolate Yule Log

Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025: Aldi
This is certainly one of those ‘is that it?’ moments over at Aldi where despite my scouring, all I could find that was safe for us was some festive ice cream lollies!
No sign of the ice cream cups, macaron or possets from last year and the one roulade that was safe last year isn’t anymore. Can someone play a disappointing trumpet sound effect here, please?
- Aldi Gianni’s Snowman Ice Cream Lollies
- Aldi Gianni’s Reindeer Ice Cream Lollies

Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025: Lidl
All I found at Lidl last year was four roulades and I wasn’t particularly impressed. Fast-forward to today and (thanks to the loss of tons of meringue-based desserts in many other supermarkets) I breathed a sigh of relief to find that their 4 roulades are still being sold in 2025! How things change, eh?
Not only that, but I also found a few extra products that I *didn’t* find last year (the mini ice cream tubs) to make matters better. In previous years I’d have said ‘don’t get too excited’, but now I find myself saying ‘enjoy these while you can!!’
- Deluxe Sicilian Lemon Roulade
- Deluxe Black Forest Pavlova Stack
- Deluxe Salted Caramel Pavlova Stack
- Deluxe Toffee Pecan Roulade
- Deluxe Mini Ice Cream Dessert Mocha & Hazelnut
- Deluxe Mini Ice Cream Dessert Peach & Vanilla
- Deluxe Mini Ice Cream Dessert Macadamia & Vanilla

Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025: Morrisons
Don’t be fooled if you’re thinking that this looks like a lot more than last year… I just included free from aisle products to try and be helpful (don’t forget about them!) Otherwise, it’s very much business as usual over at Morrisons.
Anyone still remember the black forest free from brownie dessert from 2023? Should I stop looking out for it yet? 😂
- The Best Free From Honeycomb Snowflake
- The Best Free From 4 Sticky Toffee Pudding Tarts
- Sue’s Free From Kitchen Apple Crumble
- Morrisons Free From Gluten Cream Filled Profiteroles
- Morrisons Free From Gluten Syrup Sponge Pudding
- Morrisons Free From Gluten Chocolate Sponge Pudding
- The Best Free From Dark Chocolate Yule Log
- The Best Free From Sticky Butterscotch Pudding
- Morrisons Free From Rich & Fruity Christmas Pudding
- Daim Almondy Almond Cake with Chocolate & Crunchy Caramel

Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025: Waitrose
Over at Waitrose it’s much the same as last year minus their ‘accidentally gluten-free’ hot chocolate brownie which is no where to be seen (and was actually a really solid GF dessert at ‘normal people’ prices).
So it’s hard to get too excited about that even though the rest remains much the same! It’s just one less reason to get excited and certainly one less reason to rush over there.
Just like I said last year: a lot of roulade/meringue-based desserts that were safe in Waitrose in previous years still aren’t in 2025.
- Pots & Co 70% Chocolate Ganache
- Sue’s Free From Kitchen Apple Crumble
- Waitrose Free From 4 Millionaire’s Brownie Tarts
- Waitrose Free From Christmas Pudding
- Viennetta Vanilla
- Gü Plant Spanish Lemon Cheesecake
- The Coconut Collab Choc Pots
- Waitrose 2 Raspberry Panna Cotta
- Waitrose Christmas Berry Jewels Panna Cotta Crown
- Pots & Co Lemon & Lime Posset

Gluten-free supermarket Christmas desserts guide 2025: Iceland
I only found two desserts in Iceland last year, both of which were roulades… but the lemon one is still alive and kicking (aka still gluten-free and safe to eat!) so perhaps we should rejoice about that!
The other bits I found are certainly nothing to make you rush to Iceland for, but I thought I’d throw them in regardless; even just to let you know what is and isn’t there. Let’s hope that next year you’re not just looking at Viennetta and the lollies 😂
- Iceland Luxury Lemon Roulade
- Iceland 6 Vanilla Ice Cream Trees
- Viennetta Vanilla
- Viennetta Pistachio Vanilla

Last Year’s Products
And last but not least, here’s all of LAST YEAR’s gluten-free dessert products in supermarkets from 2024.
They may be back this year… they may not! So either way, I thought I’d leave the link to last year’s post above just in case they do make a return.
