Welcome to My IBS Diary Week 2! Another week ticked off the list & more to report! Make sure you subscribe to me (for free!) to be notified of more IBS & Gluten Free Videos every week!
I’m so glad to see that so many of you guys enjoyed my week 1 update and video. If you haven’t seen it yet, then please click here. I have loved receiving so many emails and messages from others suffering with similar problems to me. I mean, I haven’t loved that others are suffering…. I’ve just loved chatting with you. It makes me feel not so alone in this IBS world, I hope it helps you too.
So this week I am back up in Manchester. Back to the routine after 10 days down south. However, my lovely confused digestive system initially seemed to forget the old routine on coming back… I definitely have found this week harder than week 1.
Rather than going day by day like I did in my first IBS Diary post. I thought I would start to just bullet point anything I noticed throughout the week, in terms of changes… GOOD or BAD!!
So… Welcome to WEEK 2:
- The stomach gurgling of Week 1 has definitely gone down, most days there is none. I am pleased as to me that means that the Symprove I have been taking every day has settled down. My body has got used to it & is allowing it to work it’s magic. Whenever you try something new out, it always takes time for the body to adjust.
- I successfully was able to go to the toilet a few more times this week. However, not nearly enough for my liking. I am still longing for the day when my body is able to go to the toilet on a very regular basis. (IBS-C folk… you understand right?!)
- I do still suffer with some degree of discomfort after dinner (the biggest meal of the day), however this discomfort is going down and down. It’s so much better than last week. I used to have hours of agony after meals, now it is reducing to maybe 20 minutes and it is by no means agony anymore. I just feel overly full. However, a hot drink and a relaxing sit down with something to take my mind off it is doing the trick.
- The improvements I truly believe Symprove has brought with it in these first 14 days of taking it, (however minor in the grand scheme of things) have not just physically helped my stomach, but have helped the mentality of my stomach. The stomach is your second brain, so how you are feeling about things doesn’t just affect the brain in your head, but your stomach too. The positivity that I have right now & my absolute determination to feel better I believe has really helped me feel better. You might think you are a positive person but really think about it deeply… could you be more positive?!
- Symprove is definitely not going to suddenly cure you. You are not going to suddenly be able to eat all of the foods that your IBS doesn’t like you eating. I mean, this week I mistakenly ate something that contained onion… & oh I knew about it. You still must be careful. Nobody said it was a cure for that. However, I truly believe in time once I have been taking it for a while I might be able to very slowly re-introduce some foods back into my diet. Certain foods I may never eat again, I accept that, but I hope that my tolerance for certain foods may increase.
So….
Onwards and upwards to Week 3 of My IBS Diary! I hope you have enjoyed Week 2. I have, I have had a few tough days but I’ve made progress too. Always REMEMBER how long have you had stomach & IBS related issues for? For me it has been years and years. Therefore, it isn’t just going to be a few days of change that will make me feel 100%, its going to take a long time. But with only 24 years of my life gone… I have plenty of years to live for and so so many reasons to keep working hard, taking my Symprove and be positive.
Please feel free to let me know how your IBS is treating you this week. If you have any questions or just want a good old chat you can leave a comment below, or on Facebook/Twitter.
Thanks for watching and reading,
