Super Crispy Baked French Fries Recipe - BEST EVER! (vegan, low FODMAP)

Crispy baked French fries recipe, anyone? They taste like fried chips, but they're actually cooked in the oven! They're gluten free, vegan and low FODMAP too.

Ingredients

  • 900 g potatoes I used red potatoes but whites would work fine too
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil plus extra for the baking tray
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 210C Fan / 230C
  • Peel your potatoes and cut your potatoes into approx batons approx 5-7cm by 1/2cm by 1/2cm. You don't have to be super precise but try and make them fairly even so they cook evenly.
  • Place your cut potatoes in a large bowl add 3-4 tbsp of oil as well as some salt and pepper. Mix so all the batons are coated well in oil.
  • Drizzle a little extra oil onto a large baking tray (to ensure the chips don't stick, you don't need much). Then evenly spread the chips out.
  • Bake for about 25 minutes. (I always turn mine half way through so they colour on both sides) Judge whether they are cooked by how you like them... I like mine golden and crispy!
