Sugar and Cinnamon Gluten Free French Toast with Maple Syrup

A simple french toast recipe, perfect for picnics!

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of Juvela gluten free white bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 60ml milk
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • butter or oil to cook in
  • icing sugar and cinnamon for dusting at the end

Instructions

  • Mix together your eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Take a slice of your bread and soak it in the mixture.
  • Heat up a frying pan with a couple of tbsp of either butter or oil.
  • When the pan is hot, gently place the bread into the frying pan. Cook on both sides until lovely, crisp and golden.
  • Remove the french toast from the pan.
  • Dust with icing sugar and cinnamon.
  • Serve up with whatever you fancy - I like mine with maple syrup, which you can easily take with you on the go. Enjoy!
